A Courthouse Elopement
Last year we had the incredible opportunity of spending six months in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. We wore flip flops in December and celebrated New Years on the beach... single digit weather was something I was not (initially) excited for! When I think back on our time in Colorado, I can't help but smile. We experienced so many firsts in those six months and made friendships that will touch my heart for a lifetime. This Colorado Springs courthouse elopement was one of my favorite firsts! My first courthouse elopement (eek!) It's what hooked me on documenting grand love in intimate ways.
I am continually humbled by the opportunity to witness and capture the raw, unfiltered beauty of love in its purest form. Elopements hold a special place in my heart as a photographer. They strip away the elaborate trappings of traditional weddings and focus solely on the bond between two people embarking on a journey together. This elopement was no exception. Against the backdrop of Colorado's mountainscape this love story unfolded in a way that was both captivating and deeply personal.
The decision to elope often comes with a sense of liberation – a desire to break free from convention and forge a path that feels true to the couple's unique connection.This couple embodied this spirit wholeheartedly. As they stood hand in hand outside the courthouse it was clear that their love was the only thing that mattered in that moment.
Erin's rose bouquet added a touch of elegance to the proceedings, its soft petals a symbol of the tender love shared between the couple. Against the backdrop of the Colorado winter, the vibrant blush colored blooms stood out, a vivid reminder of the warmth and passion that filled the air.

I believe that the true beauty of any love story lies in the candid, unposed moments – the stolen glances, the laughter, the tears of joy. From the nervous anticipation before the ceremony to the quiet, intimate exchanges of vows, every frame told a story of love, commitment, and unwavering devotion.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this elopement was the sense of intimacy that permeated every moment, they were able to fully immerse themselves in the experience of becoming husband and wife. There were no distractions, no obligations – just two souls, bound together by love and a shared vision for the future.
